At Rokuouin, we have been conducting renovation work on the Shariden since February of Reiwa 3 (2021). It is said that the Shariden was relocated to its current location during the era of the 14th Rokuouin leader, Nansou Shoryu, in the 13th year of Bunka (1763), from its previous location northeast of the guest hall. Although there have been minor repairs since then, major repairs have been a longstanding issue due to decay and termite damage to rafters and beams, as well as damage from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. This time, after approximately two and a half years, the construction has been safely completed. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience and trouble caused to everyone during the construction period. As of October 1st, Reiwa 5 (2023), it is possible to visit as usual, and we hereby report this to you.
