Announcement: Rokuouin Original Temple Stamp Book Now on Sale

Rokuouin’s original temple stamp book (goshuin-chō) has been completed and is now on sale.

The artwork for the stamp book was drawn by illustrator Ms. Yasuko Senshu.

The front cover is filled with the charms of Rokuouin, including deer, from which the name Rokuouin derives, the flowers of the sal tree (sara sōju), the garden with Arashiyama as its borrowed scenery, the approach lined with a bamboo grove, and the scenery of the four seasons.

The back cover depicts the cloud dragon painting on the canopy of the Reliquary Hall. Colored in soft pink, it has become a cool dragon that is also cute.

The characters “Rokuouin” are in the handwriting of Lord Ashikaga Yoshimitsu himself.

The dragon is also next year’s zodiac sign, “Tatsu.” It is recommended as a good-luck item and as a souvenir or gift.

On sale for 1,800 yen per book.

We hope it will become a treasured book for those who pick it up.
