Announcement of [Temple Stamps Commemorating the Completion of the Reliquary Hall]
To commemorate the Reliquary Hall, which was completed last October, we have prepared two kinds of temple stamps (goshuin).
One features the Reliquary Hall and Lord Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the third shogun of the Muromachi shogunate and the founding patron of Rokuouin; the other features the statues of the Four Heavenly Kings enshrined on the four sides of the “Buddha’s tooth relic” inside the Reliquary Hall.
Both were drawn in fine detail by an artist and are beautifully finished.
Rokuouin offers a variety of temple stamps for each season and event. Originally, temple stamps were given as proof of having dedicated a copied sutra, but you can also keep them as proof of your visit or as a memento of your trip.
We look forward to your visit.
