Photo Exhibition “Rokuouin: Hitotoki no Deai” (A Fleeting Encounter)

Irreplaceable time etched by a kyōgen performer at Rokuouin, wrapped in silence. What Mr. Hideo Torimoto captured is an impermanent “moment” woven by Mr. Takayuki Asano and the ancient temple.
What speaks through the lens are the moments where performing arts and prayer intersect, a figure standing amid light and shadow emerging from the darkness, and the preciousness of quietly flowing time. It is an encounter, a dialogue, and also a remembrance.
We will also exhibit the seasonal faces of Rokuouin: the fresh green of spring, the deep green of summer, the autumn leaves of autumn, and the stillness of winter. The beauty of the ancient temple, whose expression changes with the passing seasons.
Please quietly enjoy this silent drama echoing in an ancient space.
