Notice Regarding the Passing of Our Former Head Priest

Suita Kōkai, the former head priest of this temple, passed away on April 18.

We express our heartfelt gratitude for the kindness extended to him during his lifetime.

The wake and funeral will be held as follows.

Wake: Thursday, April 23, from 18:00

Funeral: Friday, April 24, 10:00 – 11:30

Place: Rokuouin

We respectfully decline condolence offerings (kōden).

Due to the funeral, visits and the temple lodging will be suspended during the following periods.

Visits suspended: April 19 – April 24

Temple lodging suspended: April 19 – the end of April

As there is no parking space at the temple, we kindly ask you to refrain from coming by car.
