Exhibition of Works by Takaya Fujii — Information on 15 New Works of “Sen Mon’yō” (Line Patterns)

DatesSeptember 20 – October 2, October 4 – 31, November 14 – 16

A time to face the works and encounter your own heart.

This autumn, Rokuouin will hold an exhibition of works by the painter Mr. Takaya Fujii, who created the fusuma paintings of our temple.

This time, we present 15 new works of “Sen Mon’yō” (Line Patterns).
Delicate lines layered over and over, and the colors that appear between them. When you quietly gaze at a single work, expressions you did not notice at first gradually come into view.

What you feel and what comes to mind is up to each viewer.
Please enjoy the works at your own pace, cherishing what arises in your heart.

The fusuma paintings of Rokuouin depict fallen oak leaves. If you look closely at the outlines and veins of the leaves, you can sense the life dwelling in each one. We hope you will experience Mr. Fujii’s world of expression together with his new works.

Please enjoy a quiet moment with the works at Rokuouin in autumn.
