[October 3] Matsumura Mayumi Reading Performance “Kaidan: Kondō Isami no Hanayome (New Version) — Dokuro to Akahebi —”

DatesOctober 3 (Sat)

This event has ended.

A one-woman ghost story performance in Kyoto dialect at Rokuouin at night.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, a reading performance by actress Matsumura Mayumi will be held in the Guest Hall of Rokuouin.

This fourth installment of “Tsubaki no Bikuni Mono Kataritari” presents
“Kaidan: Kondō Isami no Hanayome (New Version) — Dokuro to Akahebi —” (Ghost Story: The Bride of Kondō Isami [New Version] — The Skull and the Red Snake —).

Yotsuya Kaidan, the young commander of the Shinsengumi, and a children’s song sung for a hundred years.
Matsumura Mayumi weaves together three stories that transcend time, in Kyoto dialect.

A time to listen closely to the storytelling in the quiet Guest Hall after sunset.
Why not immerse yourself in the world of the stories on an autumn night?

We look forward to seeing you.
